I'm using the following to track trustee sales in SoCo:
1) Public notices on PressDemocrat.com (Free)
2) Subscription to The Windsor Times ($35/year)
3) Subscription to RealtyTrac ($49/month)
I prefer to get my information for free online, but not every trustee sale in Sonoma County is posted to PressDemocrat.com.
Here is a list of trustee sale status lookup tools I've been using (Sonoma County, CA-specific):
1) NationwidePosting.com - Search by trustee sale # or location.
2) RealtyTrac - $49/month, but you can try free 7-day trial.
3) ReconTrust - Choose state and county to see upcoming trustee sales.
4) Priority Posting - Search by trustee sale #
